It is with a heavy heart that the family of Teri-Lynn Deyanne Olinik announces the passing of beloved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Aunt. Born in Dryden to Norman and Linda MacDonald, Teri-Lynn would speak often of working on projects with her father, and loved to brag that he taught her the fearless handyman spirit she carried throughout her life. She met Brian, the love of her life at 16 and three years later, they married and together raised two sons, Christopher and Brad, who she loved more than anything.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was relaxing at the family camp, going on hunting trips with her husband, preparing elaborate and creative meals or watching old horror movies. Her favourite TV show was Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she often recalled the phone calls with her sister during the commercial breaks. She loved creating in any way she could, particularly drawing nature. Teri-Lynn took a great deal of pride in her work as a Personal Support worker at both Patricia Gardens and Princess Court, where she was able to help and work with the elderly. She loved animals and spoiling her dog Willo and “furry grandbabies” was one of her greatest joys. She had recently found a passion and natural gift for gardening.
Teri-Lynn is survived by her loving husband Brian, her sons Christopher (Mitch) of London, Brad (Jenna) of Dryden, Mother Linda MacDonald, sister Charmon MacDonald (Larry) of Dryden, Niece Michelle Arseneault (Ben) of Guelph, Mother-in-law B.J Grant and Father-in-law Jack Grant of Dryden, as well as her beloved dog Willo. Teri-Lynn is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Teri was predeceased by her Father Norman, Grandmother Yvonne Hughes, Grandparents Norman and Ruth MacDonald, Uncles Jerry, Dave and Bill, Aunt Janet and cherished dogs Taz and Bucky.
As per her wishes, cremation has already taken place and a family gathering to remember her in lieu of a service was held. If friends wish, donations can be made to Second Chance Pet Network in her name through Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, ON, P8N 2X3.
