A great road game for the Red Lake Miners as they beat the Thunder Bay North Stars at the Fort William Gardens 5-4.
The Miners jumped to a lead in the first period as they put two on the board with Keegan Tiringer and Bryce Young finding the back of the net leaving the first period with a 2-1 lead for the Miners.
A similar story in the second period as the Miners scored two more with tallies from Kyle Uzelman and Shaye Sommerfeld making the end of the second period a 4-2 game.
Five minutes into the third period Michael Di Lullo scored another one for the Miners and the North Stars tried to bring it back with two more goals scored, but it was too late leading to the final score of 5-4.
Both teams are already cemented in their placings as first and second seed for the playoffs and will both be getting a first round bye.
The North Stars out-shot the Miners 39-26.
