Ontario’s teachers are being encouraged to continue using the 2015 curriculum when it comes to teaching health and sex education this fall.
The provincial government wants teachers to use one created 20 years ago.
President of the Elementary Federation of Ontario Sam Hammond says teacher’s won’t be muzzled. “ETFO will vigorously defend, do whatever we have to do to defend members who continue to follow the 2015 health curriculum.”
Hammond is also calling on schools to support teachers who continue to teach the current sex ed. curriculum.
