Financial concerns are causing the band council of Northwest Angle 33 to speak up.
Three councillors recently took action to strip chief Darlene Ross-Comegan of her signing authority of two band bank accounts.
Councillor Kimberly Sandy-Kasprick says the action relates to the use of the accounts for personal travel and accommodations.
Sandy-Kasprick adds they are also looking to account for $300,000 in payments.
She is hopeful this action causes Chief Ross-Comegan to call a meeting of council who have not met since being elected in July of last year.
Fellow councillor Alex Mallett was also stripped of signing authority and his daughter Sara Henry was removed as Operations Director.
