NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is picking apart the Liberals last provincial budget before the June election.
Horwath feels the Wynne government is promising a dental plan when they don’t really have one.
She says they are basically offering a $50 refund for children who go to the dentist, stressing getting a cavity filled costs way more than $50.
Horwath says the problem is that people don’t have the money up-front to visit the dentist.
She adds the Liberals slipped in the so-called dental plan after the NDP announced their election platform.
Horwath calls Kathleen Wynne’s budget a desperate attempt for votes, full of hype.
The Progressive Conservatives are calling the fiscal document a re-election spending spree.
In a statement, Leader Doug Ford claims Kathleen Wynne is writing a lot of cheques that are going to bounce.
He pinpoints massive tax increases that will hit 1.8-million Ontarians and their families, as well as tens of thousands of businesses.
Ford adds this budget includes $2-billion in new tax increases over the next three years.
PC critic Vic Fideli says the Liberals have had 15 years to fix education and health care, but have instead left everything before an election.
