Join us for a night with Angelique Francis, who is a Canadian blues singer from Ottawa Ontario.
She is most noted as the winner of the Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2023,
for her album Long River.
Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, is observed on May 5th. The day honours and brings awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada. Walk will start at the Red Lake OPP station on Howey Street, We will start our walk @ 12:30pm and will make our way down Howey Street and up Highway 105 to Phillip Thomas Vinet Centennial Park. For those who cannot walk the distance, please join us at the park and the ceremony will commence once the memorial walkers reach the park. Everyone is welcome Attendees are encouraged to wear RED and dress according to weather conditions. Tobacco Offering will be provided.
