MARIO DONALD SAVIAN
September 11, 1974 – July 28, 2016
It is with great sadness the family of Mario Donald Savian announces his sudden passing on July 28. 2016. Mario is survived by his parents Mario and Geraldine Savian, brothers Robert (Krista) of Rosemount, Minnesota and Marc of Dryden and by nieces Alana and Sophia, as well as Gracey Grace and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born in Portogruaro, Italy, he came to Canada at the age of 17 months. Mario grew up in Dryden with his two brothers. He attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota and received a BA in Aviation. He went on to fly for Great Lakes out of Denver, Colorado. Then in 2001 he started with Air Wisconsin (US Airway Express) where he became a Captain. In May 2015, he went on to United Airlines and flew the Boeing 737.
Mario’s personality was bigger than life. He loved flying and being with people. In his short time, he saw more places and touched more lives than anyone could have in several lifetimes.
“The only things in life you should regret are the risks in life you don’t take.”
