In loving memory of Joyce Lyle, age 92 years, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 26th in the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Joyce was born in Brighton England, one of four daughters of Albert and Gladys Waller. Joyce met and married her husband Robert (Bob) Lyle in Brighton England during WWII. Joyce was one of many war brides to cross the Atlantic arriving at Pier 21 on the Britannic.
Joyce is survived by her three daughters Judith Daren, Roberta Gamble (Don) and Dianne Weiers (Burnie), nine grandchildren Lyle Daren, James Gamble (Marianne), Kelly Daren, Laurie Gamble (Rick), Rodger Daren (Shelly), Kaileigh Felske (Kris), Andrew Weiers (Marcie), Kevin Weiers (Cheryl), and Matthew Weiers (Janna), 17 great grandchildren Jordynn, Lindsay, Jayme, Emily, Jayman, Corbin, Jase, Steven, Caelum, Kale, Kassy, Keira, Layla, Dali, Matthew, Lindy and Hannah, 2 great great grandchildren Azayla and Dawson and sister Irene Mills of Sydney Australia. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Lyle in 2008, son-in-law Bill Daren and grandson Joshua Gamble.
Joyce loved to read, garden, sew, knit and was an amazing artist. She inspired us all. “Matriarch” is a woman who is the mother and head of a family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Goulet, Dr. Zimmerman and all the nurses at DRHC for all your kindness in taking care of our “little lady”.
A Private Family Service was held in the Minnitaki Cemetery.
