In loving memory of Jessie Jantzen who passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2016 in Princess Court with her daughter by her side.
Jessie is survived by her daughter Edna Lafleur, son John Jantzen, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband Abe Jantzen and by six brothers and seven sisters.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion and loved helping to serve at many weddings and funerals. She was also a member of the First United Church and the Dryden Go-Getters club.
Jessie kept very active with her friends either golfing, curling or swimming.
When Jessie moved into Princess Court in December 2013 she had said, “I can’t complain, I have had a good life.”
Thank you to all of the staff at Princess Court for being so good to Jessie and a very special thank you to Dr. Cortens for looking after Mom. You always brightened her day and put a smile on her face. She loved you!!
A very special thank you to my cousin Marie Kriese for always dropping in to see Mom when I was away. Mom truly loved you!
In accordance with Mom’s wishes there will be no funeral. Interment will take place in the Dryden Cemetery. I lieu of flowers donations may be made to Princess Court, Dryden Regional Heath Centre or the charity of your choice through the Stevens Funeral Home, P.O. Box 412, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1.
