It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Grant Anderson on December 29th, 2016 at Princess Court Home and Long Term Care. He was a husband, Stepfather, Papa, Brother and a friend. Grant was born on February 18th, 1949 in Dryden, Ontario.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Edna Anderson.
Grant was born in Dryden and lived there all his life. He worked all over Ontario on construction and on the pipelines. He also worked as a guide for Separation Lake Lodge in the 80’s.
Grant loved to fish back in the day. He enjoyed watching baseball and hockey and going to church or just having coffee with his friends.
Grant would help anyone whether it was cutting grass or shoveling snow, or a helping hand. He was always on the go. He always had a smile on his face and a “HELLO!” for anyone. His laugh was very unique and distinctive and one that you could recognize anywhere.
Grant will be truly missed by many. Especially Jordan and Jasmine, his grandchildren, who they always called Papa Grant.
Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be laid to rest in the spring. A service to celebrate Grant’s life will be held on February 8th, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DRHC Equipment Fund, through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, Ontario, P8N 2X3.
