The Dryden Police Service has come to the rescue in time for the Christmas season.
Dryden Christmas Cheer Board spokesperson Rita Gubser says donations of food, money and toys have been generous again this year, however, the board was short of gifts for teenagers.
So the Dryden Police Association, Dryden Senior Officers Association, Police Services Board and Chief Shayne MacKinnon have answered the Christmas Cheer call.
Through an internal fundraising effort, they purchased six CD players for the Cheer Board.
Meantime, Christmas hampers will be delivered or can be picked up today for needy families in the Dryden area.
