Wednesday marks the beginning of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, with a number of initiatives taking place in Dryden.
Sheri McMenemy is a Mental Health Therapist and Kerry Gagne is a Registered Dietitian and they both work with the Dryden Area Family Health Team.
They were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Monday to talk about the campaign.
McMenemy says the initiative is aimed at educating the public about the disease as well as some of the risk factors.
Gagne notes they are seeing an increase in eating disorder cases in the community.
A number of events will be held and businesses will help deliver certain messaging over the next few days.
