Three young future Football stars are set to represent Dryden on the International stage.
Carter McKinstry, Dom Morrisseau and Nate MacDonald are all playing for the All-Star Manitoba Grade 8 and 9 Football Team at a Tournament in San Antonio, Texas.
The first game is next Thursday against Mexico.
Team Manitoba will also face teams from California, Florida, Saskatchewan, Texas and Virginia.
McKinstry says he’s proud to represent the community, noting it means a lot, stressing there’s not a lot of opportunity to go play on a big stage.
All three are expecting high quality Football, but believe they will do well.
Morrisseau says this experience has been a big commitment, but an enjoyable one.
He notes they have to go to Winnipeg every weekend for practice and hit the gym at least three or four times a week.
McKinstry, Morrisseau and MacDonald are all crediting the coaching staff of the Dryden Falcons for getting them to this point, stressing they are all great leaders and instructors of the game.
They state that the coaching staff is focused on helping them succeed.
