The Dryden Eagles can now concentrate on defending their Winnipeg High School Football title.
Training camp concluded Wednesday with a high intensity Inter-squad game at Harry McMaster Field.
Head Coach Geoff Zilkalns says several young players made an impression.
He says they have a lot of keen guys and they are very eager.
Zilkalns adds anyone who earned a role with the team is certainly looking forward to the Fall.
He notes the defence will be one of their strengths, stressing they like to hit and run and they take a lot of pride in what they do.
At the game, the defence delivered several huge hits, recovered some late fumbles and made a number of key interceptions.
It’s still not clear if the Eagles will be moved to the ‘AA’ Division next season.
A final decision from the league is expected this weekend.
