The championship drought for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs may finally end Thursday night.
The Ice Dogs are in Cochenour to face the English River Miners, with a chance to sweep the Bill Salonen Cup championship.
Dryden GM hasn’t won a SIJHL title since 2008 and is seeking its third championship in franchise history.
20-year-old’s Braeden Allkins, Derek McPhail and Nic Noseworthy all popped by the CKDR studios this week.
They stressed the players want to bring the trophy home for Dryden, noting they don’t want to be forgotten.
The trio stated they want their names to be remembered and stress they want this moment to be remembered by the entire community.
Puck-drop is 7:30 and CKDR will have the call immediately after Rotary Radio Bingo.
Meantime, there are still seats available for the Ice Dogs fan bus.
The price is $55 and that includes tickets to game in Cochenour.
The bus leaves the Arena at 5:00.
To book your seat contact Shawna at 220-4100 or leave a message on the Ice Dogs Facebook page.
And the Ice Dogs ‘Barn Burner’ social has been cancelled.
