In loving memory of Verna Leutschaft who passed away at the Princess Court Long Term Care Home on January 25th, 2017 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Verna is survived by her husband Arthur, her daughter Maria Leutschaft (Wesley), grandchildren Angela Berle (Clay), Jason Petiquan (Elly) and Stephen Petiquan, foster children Glenn and Derek, brothers-in-law Oscar (Reni), Walter (Angele) and Victor (Mihaela), great-grandchildren Jessie, Cloud, Jude, Shylo, Saydie, great-great granddaughter Charlotte, as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.
Verna, who was born on May 24th, 1936 and raised in Eagle River, was predeceased by her parents Bill and Helen Moore, her son Leonard Petiquan, her brother Robert, grandchildren Preston and Sabrina, great-granddaughter Mary Jane, sister-in-law Betty and brothers-in-law Joe and Albert.
Verna was a generous and friendly woman who loved her family, attending church, making crafts, gardening, canning, fishing and shopping. She was quiet, but her cheerful laugh was often heard.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. until time of service at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. A Traditional Service will take place on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Toews and Elder Robert Kelly officiating.
Interment will follow in the Quibell Cemetery.
