The Ontario government gives $180,000 to Upsala to improve recreation center.
The Ontario government is providing $180,000 to the Upsala Recreation and Community Sports Centre through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
The upgrades will improve accessibility and services for locals and enhance facility operations.
This includes constructing a new foyer, renovating the bathroom, and installing a storage garage and two backup generators.
Minister of Northern Development, Greg Rickford, said in a release that improved NOHFC programs ensure access to safe and vibrant community centers for all ages.
The NOHFC has invested more than $835 million to date in Northen Ontario.
