You have a chance to check out some provincial parks for free.
The province is hosting free provincial parks day on Friday for Healthy Parks Healthy People Day.
“I invite all Ontarians to take advantage of this free pass to Ontario Parks, an opportunity to immerse yourselves in the joy and wonder of exploring the great outdoors,” said the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and ParksAndrea Khanjin. “Whether you’re looking to get some exercise or seeking a fun and affordable day with your family, I hope this free day will give more people the opportunity to explore everything that their local provincial park has to offer.”
Northwestern Ontario is home to various notable parks like the Sleeping Giant, Quetico, and Sioux Narrows Provincial Parks.
Additional charges for facilities not included in day use such as camping, and equipment rentals remain in place.
You can enjoy the province’s parks until 10:00 p.m. when day use ends.
