Contract talks between the Ontario Public Service Employees Union and the LCBO are scheduled to resume today.
OPSEU says it will be presenting it’s plan to the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.
This is the first time the two sides have sat down to negotiate since the strike began on July 5th.
OPSEU says it wants to protect jobs and is going into the bargaining session in a position of power.
The union is opposed to the Ford government’s plans for increased privatization of beer and wine sales and says it’s doesn’t want pre-mixed cocktails to be sold in grocery and big box stores.
