Donald Trump is safe after an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
Trump fell to the ground after gunshots were heard at his rally on Saturday.
His campaign team describes his condition as “fine” even though photos on social media show blood around the former president’s ear.
“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information,” said President Joe Biden on X. “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
A man attending the rally is dead and others were injured by the stray bullets. The shooter was killed shortly after firing.
Trump is the leading contender for the Republicans in the upcoming presidential election.
