Dryden Fire Services is getting an increased number of calls for carbon monoxide alarms.
Twenty service calls were received in May, several of those being carbon monoxide calls in the last couple of weeks.
The fire department points out an alarming call that recently happened late at night.
Emergency crews found dangerous levels of CO in a family’s home. Luckily, the family was able to escape upon hearing the alarm.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters in Dryden want to stress the importance of keeping carbon monoxide alarms in homes. Everyone should also check and test their alarms often.
