The Kenora Thistles will once again play in the Manitoba U18 AAA hockey League next season.
The league held it’s Annual General Meeting last week and confirmed the Thistles will continue to play in the league.
There was some question earlier this year about the future of the league and the potential of dropping teams like Kenora, the Norman North Stars, and the Parkland Rangers.
Thistles Council, who govern the Thistles programs at all levels, says they’re grateful to once again be included in the league.
“We look forward to the 2024/2025 season. There will be a lot of excitement around the team this year as we are set to host Western Regionals in the spring of 2025.”
As a result, the Thistles will go ahead with their selection and training camps this summer, with the league to begin in late September.
