The Dryden OPP have laid several charges following a report of an impaired driver.
Around 6:30 this past Friday night, police were called about a complaint in Zealand Township.
It was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed under arrest.
Further investigation showed that two days earlier, a domestic assault had taken place at that residence.
As a result a 50 year old has been charged with spousal assault, impaired driving, driving while under suspension and resisting a peace officer.
The OPP say the name of the person charged will not be released to protect the identity of victim.
The accused will appear in Kenora Court later on the charges.
