One person has been killed and two others have been injured in connection to a collision which occurred on the Kenora By-pass Tuesday night.
Police, Fire and EMS responded to a two vehicle collision around 9:30 p.m. between Veterans Drive and Darlington Drive, involving a commercial motor vehicle and an SUV.
The driver of the transport was pronounced deceased on scene, while the passenger of the same vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team as well as OPP Collision Re-Constructionists are currently assisting with the investigation.
The highway has since been reopened.
