Elizabeth Anne Misner
February 20, 1967 – January 10, 2024
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Anne Misner at the age of 56 following complications from influenza. Anne is survived by her brothers Bruce and Donald (Joanne) and nephew Andrew (Kyla). She was predeceased by her father James and mother Mary Anne.
Anne was born in Winnipeg but resided her whole life in Dryden. At a young age she was diagnosed with epilepsy which brought many challenges to her life. Her mother was her champion and her biggest support to get as much help and education as possible and was a valuable resource for Epilepsy Ontario.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Community Living Dryden who have cared for Anne over the years. She appreciated everyone that worked with her and enjoyed the special activities. Her smile and pleasure with the small things in life will be dearly missed. We also extend our thanks to the staff at Dryden Regional Health Centre and Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 18th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Alice Bloomfield officiating.
Interment of ashes will follow at the Dryden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Living Dryden/Sioux Lookout, 280 Arthur Street, Dryden, Ontario P8N 2N4 or the charity of your choice.
