The Fort Frances Muskies took three of four games played in winter court sport action against the Dryden Eagles.
The Dryden’ junior boys basketball team remains undefeated after downing the Muskies by a score of 57-40 on Thursday.
Emmerson Moir poured in 27 points and Val Naybe had 16 to pace the Eagles.
In senior boys action, Fort Frances cruised to a 59-21 win over the Eagles.
In girls volleyball the Eagles junior girls fell in two straight sets to the Muskies by scores of 25-11 and 25-17.
The Dryden senior girls had a slow start but split the first two sets 11-25 and 25-22.
Fort Frances won the next 2 sets (25-15, 25-23) to claim the match.
All teams are off until the new year.
In the SIJHL, all eight teams see action tonight. The Kenora Islanders are in Sioux Lookout to take on the Bombers.
The Red Lake Miners are in Dryden to meet the Ice Dogs, while the Kam River Fighting Walleye travel to Spooner to face off against the Lumberjacks.
The other game will see the Thunder Bay North Stars in Fort Frances to play the Lakers.
Sioux Lookout currently claims top spot in the SIJHL standings with 42 points, one better than Kam River.
The Fighting Walleye still have two games in hand though.
