The Sioux Lookout Bombers have regained the lead in the SIJHL standings after sweeping the Fort Frances Lakers over the weekend.
The Bombers earned a 3-2 win in overtime Saturday following a 4-3 win on Saturday.
Sioux Lookout now has 36 points, one point up on the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The Ice Dogs won all three games played in Spooner, Wisconsin including a 5-4 on Sunday.
Dryden also won 8-2 on Saturday and 6-5 in overtime on Friday night.
The Kam River Fighting Walleye hold down third place with 34 point after splitting their games with the Thunder Bay North Stars over the weekend.
On Saturday the North Stars claimed a 5-2 victory while the Walleye dropped Thunder Bay by the same 5-2 score on Saturday.
Elsewhere, the Red Lake Miners beat up on the Kenora Islander 9-0 Saturday and 10-3 on Friday.
The winter NorWOSSA court sport season begins this week in gyms across the region in boys basketball and girls volleyball.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints won all five of their games in the NWO pre-season tournament in Dryden over the weekend.
The Saints down Dryden 1, Atikokan, Sioux North , Dryden 2 and Fort Frances.
The NorWOSSA season opens on Tuesday with Red Lake in Rainy River, Fort Frances in Kenora to face Beaver Brae and Sioux North is at Dryden to take on the Eagles.
