The Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River is raising money to help support their programs in the region.
One of their biggest fundraisers opens on Thursday, with their online auction.
Society spokesperson Manveer Kaur says any funds generated will go towards one particular project.
“Those funds would actually be used to support our program Mindful Connection,” explains Kaur.
“It is a program that we are running at the hospital and also the goal is to offer it at local long term care homes.”
Kaur adds they are also looking to help support a couple of other programs.
“That includes our art therapy and music project. So the funds would be used to buy more MP3 players, to get more music gadgets and get supplies for our art classes and online art classes that are coming.”
The on-line auction will remain open for one week from November 16th to 23rd.
