The Special Weather Statement for Dryden and Sioux Lookout has been upgraded to a snowfall warning.
That means between 10 and 20 centimeters of snow could fall in the next 24 hours.
Geoff Coulson from Environment Canada says the snow could hang around for a few days.
“With this second shot of snow that expected to extend into Friday afternoon and give more notable amounts, given the fact the temperature will remain below freezing though the weekend, likely some of this snow will stick around through the weekend and maybe even early next week,” predicts Coulson.
A Special Weather Statement remains for the Kenora area with between 5 and 10 centimeters of snow expected and one has now been issued for Fort Frances.
