Alexander Raymond Derosier
May 7, 1998 – August 16, 2023
It is with profound sorrow and sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Alexander Derosier.
He was the beloved son of Andrea Brown and Patrick Derosier and treasured by his siblings.
Alex was a quiet man with a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room. From childhood, Alex was known as “old man” as everything was done slowly and on his time.
In 2019, Alexander successfully completed a culinary program and although he loved his video games, his happy place was in the kitchen. Being on the water also always made him feel at home and fishing brought out his beautiful smile.
Alexander passed away in his home on Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation where his body will be laid to rest.
He will be forever remembered and forever missed by his Mom Andrea Brown and Step Dad Tim Parenteau, his Father Patrick Derosier and Partner Kelly Sutton, his siblings; Leandra Turpin (Sean), Taylor Derosier, Marcus Brown, Jonathan Brown, Oliver Brown and Bree Brown-Parenteau. Uncle Alex will miss and be missed by his niece Aria and his nephews; Jaime, Toni, Tyler, Tristan and Cayden. His Grandmother Freda Brown and his Aunties; Jenny, Kelly, Cami and Donna along with his many cousins will miss him dearly.
A Wake Service will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation Community Hall.
A Traditional Service will follow on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Thomas Favell officiating.
