The Kenora Bass International turns 35 year old this year.
Cori Libitka is chair of KBI and says they have a number of new teams entered.
“Really excited this year, I think we have about 17 so far, new to KBI teams,” enthuses Libitka.
“A lot of those people are locals, but they’ve never fished KBI before, so we’re really excited about that.”
Libitka adds that COVID did put a bit of a damper on some other the other aspects of the fishing tournament, but this year they will be able to have all the usual events.
“Our Big Bass Bash is back this year. We’ve got Shred Kelly and we also have Grant Leutschaft…he’s amazing. And all the normal shenanigans. We’ve got all the day stuff for the kids. Lots of games and face painting.
The rules meeting begins tonight with fishing beginning bright and early Thursday morning with the first boats leaving the Harbourfront at 6:30.
First day weigh-ins begin at 4:00.
