To live in the hearts of others is to never die in those we leave behind.
On Tuesday February 21st, 2023, Marie Elsa Olson passed away peacefully in her sleep at her Hamilton residence. She was two and a half weeks away from celebrating her 89th birthday.
She was the beloved daughter of; Walter Juel Olson and Anna Severson. the beloved sister of; Juel (Doreen), Matt (Marg, & Fran), Alan (Mary) and Angloria Morise (Henry). The devoted wife of the late Peter Kasper. The adoring mother of; Walter Kasper (France Lambert), Paul Kasper (Jean Blair), Rose Calland (Rob), Heather Bedard (Jim Bedard and Gordon Kameda) and Carol McMeechan ( Archie).
She was predeceased by; her parents Walter and Anna Olson, brother Juel, sister Angloria, and husband Peter Kasper, daughter-in-laws France & Jean and grandson Lance.
Marie was extremely skilled in many crafts, her favorites being; painting, knitting, pottery, sketching, quilting, needle point, crocheting, gardening and baking. Marie was also very involved in her community and loved volunteering and helping others. Marie was a dedicated Girl Guide leader, member of the Dryden Community Women’s Business Association, and Lutheran Church Women’s Circles.
Marie was the kind, loving matriarch of a very large family. Grandmother to Denis and Michel (Julie Lefebvre) Thibodeau, Logan, Jaxom, Chad, Denae, Lisa (Matthew), Crystal, Scott, Lance, John-Paul, Alecia-Marie, Chelsey and Alexis, Cameron (Mary), Michelle and Hailey. Great Grandmother to Zachary, Philippe, Ly Thibodeau, Averie, Blake, Lance, Alyssa, Jordan, Payton, Aston, Brooklyn, Arianna, Adrian, Jenaeva, Aimee, Skylar, Aiden, Olivia, Katrina, Daniella, Lukas and granddaughter Alexis is expecting. She is also the great-great Grandmother of Davone, Isaiah and Amirah.
Marie will be forever loved and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
