There’s going to be a Game 7 in the SIJHL finals for the Bill Salonen Cup.
The Thunder Bay North Stars took down the Kam River Fighting Walleye 6-2 last night at the Fort William Gardens – tying the best-of-seven series 3-3.
Forwards EJ Paddington and Colby Feist each had two goals in the win. Goalie Keenan Marks put up 41 saves on 43 shots after 60 minutes.
Game 7 takes place tomorrow night at the Norwest Arena. Puck drop’s set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
It would be Kam River’s first league championship as a franchise. Fighting Walleye coach Geoff Walker is also working towards his second straight SIJHL championship, after winning with the Red Lake Miners last season.
