Claude Leo Rivest

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Tuesday,April 11, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the North Woods Motor Inn, Ignace, Ontario.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Claude Leo Rivest at the age of 75 years. Claude loved animals and all that nature had to offer him. Being in the outdoors brought him lots of peace and serenity. From working as a mechanic to driving heavy equipment, he took great pride in his work and had a strong work ethic. Claude had a tool for any type of job that may pop up and rarely passed up a deal. If you knew Claude, you would know that he was always the life of the party. He had a great sense of humour with an infectious laugh. Wherever Claude went, he easily made friends. He was never afraid to spark a conversation with a stranger. Claude’s passing has left a hole in many of the hearts and lives he has touched. He is survived by his partner and best friend Diane Lemieux, sons Pascal (Virginia), Benoit (Sheryl) and Jocelyn (Fatima), grandchildren Ashley, Patrick, Brandon, Donovan, Kayla and Ali as well as siblings Rachel, Maurice, Suzanne, Réal and Michel.
