Troy Adams
June 14, 1984 – March 21, 2023
In our deepest sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Troy Adams.
Troy is survived but his wife, Carolyn Adams, daughter Tory Adams, and sons Jackson Hignell and Cooper Adams. Parents Charles and Elizabeth Adams, brothers and sister-in-laws Lenard, Robert (Kay) George (Crystal) Daryl, Conway, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Isabella Adams, William and Anne Saunders, cousin Dave, and best friends Dustin, Travis, and Geoff.
Troy grew up in Dryden, Ontario, and has lived there all his life, besides a few short moves to Edmonton and Winnipeg. Troy’s childhood was spent in Wilson’s Trailer Court, where he met many of his closest friends and later moved out to Adams Lane, which never stopped him from biking into town to meet up with his friend. Troy loved his trips to Newfoundland/Labrador with his parents to see his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. In high school, he was on the Football team and Dryden Eagles. He had such an amazing relationship with his parents who he shared a love for hockey, along with all his brothers.
Troy and I first met in High School and dated for a few months. Little did we know 14 years later, we would fall in love and start our beautiful family of five, with each having a child of our own and a baby to complete the family. Troy loved his family so much and always had high hope and dreams for all of us. He was always there to coach all 3 kids in all their sports, whether it was hockey, baseball, or soccer; he didn’t care; he was there for his kids. Troy had a love for fishing. He loved to go on fishing trips with all of us and then regret it shortly after because someone was always crying, bored, snagged, or cranky and said we’re never doing this again. Until the next time he wanted family fishing time which wasn’t long after the last one. We spent our summers camping with our closest friends. He loved hosting dinner parties and BBQing for everyone out at camp, trying all the new spices he got from watching his cooking shows. Troy was such a helpful, generous, kind person that no matter how busy, tired, or late it was, if you needed help with something, he was there, especially when it came to his family. He was such a kind, open, funny person that always tried to go out of his way to make you feel comfortable and make them laugh. We will miss your corky jokes, your pranks, your dimple on that beautiful smile, and those big hugs that just made you feel at home. You will be missed by so many.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Jake Letkeman officiating.
