32 year old Winnipeg man faces a number of charges after trying to evade the Kenora OPP Thursday morning.
Around 11 am, police say they initiated a traffic stop after a vehicle was seen speeding and being driven erratically in the city.
Officers managed to stop the vehicle, but the the driver fled in the car.
Further investigation found the vehicle to be stolen.
With the help of the Treaty #3 Police and a K-9 unit, the driver was finally arrested without incident.
He has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of Methamphetamine.
The suspect is being held in custody pending an appearance in Kenora Court.
