It was the first of two back-to-back games the teams will play at the Cochenour Arena. The second will be played tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The win moves the Miners a point ahead of the Bombers for third place in the standings and one point back of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs, who won their game over the Fort Frances Lakers 4-2.
Decorby opened the scoring midway through the first period before Sioux Lookout rallied for a pair of goals from Graeme Patrick, his sixth and seventh goals of the season.
After an early second period goal from Dayvan Bull (5th) tied the game, the teams would exchange a flurry of goals in a span of 1:48 midway through the period.
Quintyn Sidaway (6th) gave the Miners the lead at the 9:28 mark. Sioux Lookout’s Owen Riffel tied the game for the Bombers just eight seconds later.
Decorby (7th) would give the Miners the lead for good just over a minute after Riffel’s marker.
Anthony Pileggi (2nd) added some insurance seventeen seconds later.
Colton Crysler (18th) rounded out the scoring with an empty net goal for the Miners later in the third period.
Red Lake netminder Jack Osmond faced 50 shots to earn his 14th win this season.
The Bombers Ethan Penner, who was pulled after the Miners’ fifth goal, was tagged with the loss.
Decorby and Corbett were named the first and second stars of the game, respectively. Riffel was the third star selection.
