Kenora will try once again to host the Northern Ontario curling playdowns.
Last year, the Northern Ontario Curing Association had to cancel the event because of COVID restrictions.
This year, the Kenora Curling Committee and the Northern Ontario Curling Association’s Provincial Championships will be taking place in Kenora next week.
“We are lucky enough to host both of the Men’s and the Women’s events,” explains the Special Events Coordinator with the City of Kenora, Morgan Seller.
“The winner of the Men’s will go on to the Tim Horton’s Brier, and the winner of the Women’s will be at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts,” she adds.
NOCA’s playdowns will be taking place at the Kenora Recreation Centre between January 24 and January 29.
Tickets are available online on the Kenora Curling Committee’s website, as well as Home Hardware and the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre. Event and day passes are both available.
Afterwards, the curling club plans to host their annual Ladies Bonspiel in early February. More information can be found HERE.
