Another warning from Provincial Police on thin ice.
The latest comes from OPP in the Rainy River District Detachment.
Officials say ice conditions are treacherous, inconsistent and dangerous right now.
OPP stress that it is never 100% safe to snowmobile on ice and you should take the time to learn the ice.
If you do venture out you are asked to invest in a proper floatation suit, keep your machine well maintained, and have the basic survival equipment on hand.
