A perfect weekend and gold for the Dryden Eagles Girls High School Hockey team at an opening tournament in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
The ‘Blue and Gold’ were undefeated heading into Saturday’s championship game.
It was a back-and-forth battle that ended up going to a shootout.
Kyla Calvert scored the shootout winner as the Eagles outlasted J.H. Bruns Collegiate from Winnipeg 2-1.
It was a complete team effort with solid performances from both veterans and rookies as Dryden gains momentum moving forward in the regular season.
