Provincial Police continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 17 about 25 kilometres east of Nipigon.
The crash on Tuesday afternoon around 2:50 involved a passenger vehicle and a transport.
OPP say a 61-year-old individual from the passenger vehicle died in the collision.
Another person in the same vehicle was transported to hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer unit was also sent to hospital with undetermined injuries.
No names or identities have been released.
