The festive season is in full swing in Dryden.
A successful Tour of Lights was held this past weekend as businesses and homes decorated to spread some Christmas cheer.
Dianne Loewen and Ryan Graham were guests on the CKDR Morning Show today (Thursday) to recap the event.
Loewen says, “At Domtar we’re always looking for creative ways to get involved with the community. Of course we have a very active donations and sponsorship program but we’re always looking for opportunities where we can partner with community organizations and have our employees involved in different activities and this partnership with the Kinsmen is a perfect example of that.”
Graham says it was great to see everyone out touring the community and enjoying the lights and displays.
The top displays this year were:
-City: Hutchison Family on Dingwall Parkway
-Rural: Paul and Caroline Jewett on Kellar Road
-Business: Dryden GM
-Honourable Mention: Melissa Kamm on Thunder Drive
The event was also an opportunity to collect donations for the Dryden Food Bank and Christmas Cheer.
