A new deal has been approved by 120 members of Unifor working at Princess Court in Dryden.
The 3 year agreement received 93% support.
Union Local National Representative Stephen Boon says the agreement includes solid monetary gains and language improvements and provides much needed stability to allow workers to continue on focusing on providing critical services during an extremely challenging pandemic.
President of Local 324 Katrina Peterson says despite ongoing funding challenges, they are pleased to secure a solid agreement with a number of key improvements and wage increases at the upper end of the provincial range for the sector.
The new deal is retroactive to June 1 and expires May 31, 2025.
Highlights include:
• 2.8% annual wage increase;
•$.10/hour increase in shift differentials;
•$.30 to $.40/hour increase in both RN and RPN shift differentials;
•increased eye glass, paramedical, specialist, dental, orthopedic, chiropractic and other health benefits;
•double time for Christmas statutory holiday
•$10 increase in both annual shoe allowance and uniform allowance;
•$.50/hour premium increase for RNs now up to $2.00/hour;
