With the snow now here the provincial fire team is turning its attention to the off-season.
Information Officer Chris Marchand says they have one main focus at this point.
“We launched the beginning of the Fire Ranger Recruitment season on November 1. So interested candidates can submit their application at ontario.ca/fireranger ahead of the 2023 season.”
It was a quiet forest fire season in the northwest this year with only 82 blazes.
