William “Ed” Turner
September 27, 1934 – November 3, 2022
Ed passed away peacefully on Thursday November 3rd, 2022, at the age of 88.
Ed is survived by his wife Faye (nee Tilley) of 62 years, by his daughters, Eva (Gerry), Charlene (Doug), Charyl (Terry), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Hazel and Grace and brother Leroy (Jeanette).
Predeceased by his father William Turner, his mother Anna and stepfather Frank, his sister Ester, brothers-in-law Earl and Archie Elias and sister-in-law Lillian “Midge” and great granddaughter Audrey Stanway. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many more nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born and raised In the Rainy River area, Ed became a mechanic by trade and enjoyed it immensely. He owned his own service station for about 11 years in Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan before returning to Dryden. He worked many jobs in his lifetime and was proud to talk about all of them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping outside of work but he was most proud of his family.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
