January 2, 1941 – November 1, 2022
John Kitt, born January 2, 1941, laid down his working tools on November 1, 2022.
John passed away peacefully in his bed at Princess Court with his loving wife Alicia by his side, supporting him just as she has been through 45 years of marriage.
John is survived by his wife and their sons Andrew and Charles and his granddaughter Stevie Grace and daughter-in-law Tova.
John is predeceased by his parents Walter and Helen and his brother Doug.
John was born in Kenora Ontario and lived in numerous towns throughout Northern Ontario as his fathers work with the Forestry saw them relocate often. John eventually settled in Dryden where he raised a family, built a magnificent cottage in the woods with his own hands. He embraced the wilderness and was an avid hunter and angler.
He was also dedicated to his community and served 47 years as an avid member and contributor to the Dryden Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service. John was a faithful member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. A past Master that whenever called upon would fill the role of any of the vacant chair around Northwestern Ontario.
John has been greatly missed by his family and his community.
