The Dryden Eagles High School Football team is off to the championship of the Winnipeg High School Football League.
The Eagles dominated on the road from start to finish in a convincing 33-15 win over the 6-1 Maples Marauders in the Thursday Semi-Final.
It was once again a complete team effort.
Shalom Powell got things rolling with a 53 yard touchdown run.
Dryden exploded for 20 points in a three minute span in the second quarter.
Powell sped for another score and the Eagles recovered the ensuing kickoff where Powell did again with a fake field goal and a 3 yard touchdown run.
It was then the defence turn as Carter McKinstry would strip the ball from the Marauders running back and scamper 50 yards on the final play.
Powell would ice the game with a 64 yard touchdown run.
Dryden now faces the undefeated Kildonan East Reivers Wednesday at IG Field in Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg team defeated Kenora 27-25 in the other Semi-Final.
