Domtar and the Dryden GM Ice Dogs are teaming up to host a charity hockey game.
The showdown between mill workers (Dryden Mill River Rats) and the junior hockey team is Sunday at 1:00 pm and admission is only $5.
Adi Lang and Dianne Loewen were guests on the CKDR Morning Show today (Tuesday) to announce that all proceeds will support Community Living Dryden/Sioux Lookout.
Lang says, “This organization is a strong supporter of the Ice Dogs and has many devoted fans. They are always cheering us on, so when we started talking to Domtar about this game, it was an easy decision to decide where the funds were going to go.”
Loewen adds, “We’ve got Chuck Schmidt as our ref, and I think he might have a bit of fun planned. We are going to be having a chuck a puck 50/50 event, we will be giving away free books under the Domtar tent, and we will be selling tickets for a draw to win a 45″ Samsung Smart TV.”
