Jack B. Harrison is the new Mayor of Dryden.
The newcomer to municipal politics defeated former Councillor Shayne MacKinnon in Monday’s election by picking up 69 per cent of the votes.
Greg Wilson opted to not seek re-election.
Harrison will be joined at the Council table by Michelle Price, Bryan Tardiff, Martin MacKinnon, Ritch Noel, Bill Latham and Catherine Kiewning.
In Ignace, incumbent Penny Lucas fell to Bill Gascon who picked up 580 votes.
Elected to Council include Al Zimmer, John Taddeo, Kimberley-Ann Baigrie and Jodie Defeo.
Gordon Griffiths is back as Mayor in Machin following a tight race with challenger Garry Parkes in a 50 vote win.
Sitting on Council will be Ray Pilkey, Tony Blair, Dennis Peterson and Greg Swanson.
In Red Lake, Fred Mota is back as Mayor after gaining the support of many in the community.
On Council for the next four years include Warren Badiuk, Janet Hager, Jamie Kristoff and Debra Geary.
Down the 105 in Ear Falls Kevin Kahoot was acclaimed as Mayor.
His Council will consist of Dan Sutton, Brad Mountain, Doug Woolsey and Kim Thain.
Over in Sioux Lookout, Doug Lawrance was also acclaimed as Mayor.
Joining him on the Council table include Joe Cassidy, Joan Cosco, Luc Beaulne, Cory Lago, Joyce Timpson and Reece Van Breda.
And in Pickle Lake, James Dalzell is the new Mayor with a narrow win over Robert Rasmussen.
Elected to Council include Richard Eagles, Leslie Moore, Kayla Blakney and John Millar.
Councillor Andrew Poirier will be the new mayor of the City of Kenora.
He won in a landslide Monday night, picking up 64 percent of the vote.
A new mayor for Fort Frances.
Voters in the town threw their support behind Andrew Hallikas in the runoff for mayor over Ken Perry.
Elsewhere in the district, Rob Fergson was elected the new mayor of Atikokan.
He replaces the retiring Dennis Brown who has held the position for thirty years.
And Ken Boschcoff returns as mayor of Thunder Bay.
He also served from 1997 to 2003.
