Some relief is coming at a time when we are facing increased costs.
The Ontario Energy Board has announced changes to electricity prices for households and small businesses.
The change in rates kick-in November 1.
The off-peak rate (Weekdays 7:00 pm-7:00 am, all day weekends and holidays) will go from 8.4 cents per kilowatt hour to 7.4 cents.
The mid-peak rate (Weekdays 11:00 am-5:00 pm) drops from 11.3 cents to 10.2.
The higher on-peak rate (Weekdays 7:00 am-11:00 am and 5:00 pm-7:00 pm) will be 15.1 cents from 17 cents.
The governments Ontario Electricity Rebate will fall from 17% to 11.7%.
